Portraits of Melaka in Sephia…

Artist_5I had a remarkable weekend in Melaka. Eddie’s family is super friendly . hahaa..Thank you for the hospitality. I haven’t take any photo for a long time and this trip allowed me to shoot quite a number of photos. I tried out the sephia mode in my camera. I never like taking photo of people much (most probably I dont have the skill yet, hahaa….), but after this trip, I find taking photo of people’s expression kinda interesting though!!! hmm..the photo of the artist was shot in A’Famosa. He had very intense expression once in a while. Like the next photo of his. :) I like the photo of the A’Famosa (with the canon)! and the Iguana guy. Pretty Iguana ..Iguana_1

Tomb_stone_1

Singer St_paul

These two singers are not chinese but they sang superb Chinese old song from Teresa Teng. They sat next to a large 17th century tomb stone. Can’t help but I am having this ‘irony’ feeling when I took that picture. That statue is St. Paul. Have a feeling that he was looking at you?? The following photo is interesting. It gave me the ‘looking through the window as time passed’ feeling. The tomb was like 16th 17th century but at the other end was a 21st century luxury condo. I didn’t manage to wait till the couple get out of the picture…haha..too many people walking around!

Window_through_time Couple

At night, we visited the Jonker Walk. An interesting place with lots of food and antics. The photo on the left was interesting. A young couple among a whole crowd of old people listening to open air karaoke singing. The photo below..I wondered why that kid want to buy hair pins…

Kid Kidline_dancing_8

Two kids (both down syndrome i think) were looking or waiting for their parents practising line dancing inside a ‘hui guan’. There are at least 5 or 6 ‘hui guan’ having line dancing lesson there in Jonker Walk. See that uncle making sugar cane juice? hahaa…I bought a cup from him after I took this photo.

Sugar_cane Vinyl_record

This uncle was selling old old old vinyl record in the Junker Walk. I think he did it as a hobby though because he did said some were not worth buying..:) , Hui Jiun bought one for RM 20 (for his dad).

I do not have photo on the food we ate. Finally tried the famous satay celup. :) and pork satay (kuching pasar’s pork satay still taste better i think..sorry eddie). Chicken rice ball was nice..that’s about it…back to reality ..lots of assignments coming up.
